UP: Panchayat elections to be held in four phases, first round voting to be held on April 15, code of conduct implemented

In Uttar Pradesh, the Election Commission has announced the dates of panchayat elections today. Panchayat elections will be held in four phases in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The first phase of voting will take place on April 15. The second phase will be held on April 19, the third phase will be held on April 26 and the fourth phase will be held on April 29. 
 
Elections will not be held in Sitapur’s 3, Bahraich’s 1 and Gonda’s 9 gram panchayats due to non-completion of their tenure. The first phase elections will be held in one district each of all 18 mandals. The counting of votes will take place on 2 May. With the announcement of election dates, a code of conduct has been introduced in UP. The Supreme Court will hear the reservation case today. 

The Board of Secondary Education exam is proposed from 24 April. In view of the panchayat elections, it has been decided to postpone the High School and Intermediate Examination of the Board of Secondary Education.
When will the nomination process begin
The first phase of nomination process will start from April 3

Nomination can be done in the second phase from April 7 to April 8

Nomination will be done in the third phase from April 13 to April 15

Nomination will be done in the fourth phase from 17 April to 18 April

On April 15, voting in these 18 districts in the first phase
Polling will be held in Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Hathras, Agra, Kanpur Nagar, Jhansi, Mahoba, Prayagraj, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Ayodhya, Basti, Santakbirnagar Gorakhpur, Jaunpur and Bhadohi.

The second phase of polling in these 20 districts on April 19 in
Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bijnor, Amroha, Badaun, Etah, Mainpuri, Kannauj, Etawah, Lalitpur, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Lucknow, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sultanpur, Gonda, Maharajganj, Varanasi, Azamgarh.

In the second phase on April 26, polling in these 20 districts of
Shamli, Meerut, Moradabad, Pilibhit, Kasganj, Firozabad, Auraiya, Kanpur Dehat, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Unnao, Amethi, Barabanki, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Deoria, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Baliya.

Polling in these 17 districts in the fourth phase on April 29 will be held in
Bulandshahr, Hapur, Sambhal, Shahjahanpur, Aligarh, Mathura, Farrukhabad, Banda, Kaushambi, Sitapur, Ambedkar Nagar, Bahraich, Basti, Kushinagar, Ghazipur, Sonbhadra, Mau.
